IT Crowd outside the UK

Episodes of this new Channel 4 programme are available to view online. However only if your IP address is registered to a UK address.

What about those in Ireland, who receive Channel 4 by satellite/cable?


Well perhaps I shouldn’t complain, at least Channel 4 have only blocked a section of their site, because a US TV channel called Shotime has blocked its entire site from non US IP addresses.

It is perhaps ironic that those who watch the IT Crowd will know how to circumvent the GeoIP problem…

  3. itcrowd.co.nr looks promising but the avi’s are protected by DRM which opens a browser window to channel and asks for a login, bugmenot provides plenty, but this takes too much effort, and makes your IP known to channel4.

  5. UK Proxy (not recommended, probably capped at 10k/s and password sniffer, and maybe illegal depending on who runs the proxy)
