“…Organisations should pursue online communication initiatives that will be of interest to people and provide a good return on investment…”
I hear what he is saying but the problem is that blogging is so cheap to do that is is often treated with disrespect in organisations. For example if you started an adsense campaign and payed USD 500 per day you would make full sure it was profitable, but if you started a blog for USD 5 per day then you aren’t too interested in how it performs, or to use yet another example imagine you had an employee working for USD 500 per day, you wouldn’t have him making coffee! But imagine you had an employee, maybe an office junior, working for USD 5 per day well… Continue reading ‘Say something interesting or don’t say anything at all’

The above lists are non-exhaustive, but clearly show that Yahoo has an impressive portfolio. Note how they don’t always prefix their trademark to every asset. Also it is possible that because they have been around for a long time (in internet terms at least) there is a perception that they are stale. But this is not the case

I’ve been trying to sell seom books on ebay (all unwanted christmas presents) they are in mint condition, and most cost about EUR 15 new. I decided to list one book for EUR 7.50, thinking that at half price I would find a buyer no problem, however I had a look at the other sellers prices first, and shock, surprise, others have it for EUR 3 and thats the buy it now price! How do these people make money?
Ebay isin’t not like a bricks and mortar business where you can have a loss leader and clean up on the linked profitable sales, or is it?

Blacknight Solutions are selling .ie domains for only EUR 36.50 for the month of January.
This is compatable to a .com registration fee (well, with a very expensive registrar) but it is excellent news in the .ie context.
