I found out on polling day that I was struck off the register. So I set up a site for people in the same boat to sign on to:

Why isin't my trackback appearing on your page? Without incoming links how am I expected to keep my 5 series in petrol?!

The Seanad debate shows that it is ok to be "registered" at multiple addresses, as long as you only vote once. Actually that is what I want to hear, as it means should I ever buy a summer house I can register there and vote in the local elections. They should relaly use PPS numbers, while we all hate big brother, this is one area where they would actually be good. Althought not every elector has one.

I think you're missing one really important point. The government is calling an election during the middle of the week, so a lot of people have to be registered in more than one place so that they can exercise their right to vote. You're also forgetting the thousands of people who were struck off the register for no reason at all, apart from incompetence
