I like Synthesizers, I like 80s Synthezisers. I am willing to endure the worst cheesy excesses of the 80 just to listen to sweet Synthsizers. I am even willing to watch music videos that look like parodies.
New Edition - Cool it now.
New Edition is an American R&B group formed in Boston, MA in 1980, that was most popular during the 1980s. New Edition irst recorded as a Jackson 5-esque collection of five young black teenage singers, including lead singer Ralph Tresvant (high pitched voice*), and vocalist Bobby Brown (married to Whitney Houston), Ricky Bell (never heard of him), Michael Bivins (never heard of him) and Ronnie DeVoe (never heard of him). Like all bands some members left to pursue solo careers. Booby Brown had much success. * As a man I find listening to a voice that high pitched, it would be nice if New Editions music was available as instrumentals (cheap MIDIs cannot caputure to 80ness of the synthesizers)
Bobby Brown - On Our Own
Featured on the soundtrack of Ghostbusters II (1989)
Like many 80s movie soundtrack videos it features clips of the movie, making it feel an “event” video (to coin a term).
Bobby Brown - Every Little Step

ahh so 80s
We all think that the first video looks cheesy today, but can anyone who watched TV back in 1984 remember did it seem ok back then?
